How much value does COA & Original Box/Packaging add to collectible value?

    You, my friend, have one of the most collectable, most desirable coin sets ever made in the United States. Thank you for sharing it with us.

    Came to the forum when I found this old thread. I recently picked up a 1903 Mckinley gold dollar along with the original box. Box has the original cheap padding. I have seen only a couple sold with the box included. The coin was nice but the box caught my attention even more!

    PCGS, NGC, and ANACS does as well. I've got 3 Carson City dates in GSA slabs. I got 2 of the 3 graded, just haven't bothered with the 3rd one yet. Almost all of them end up 63 or 64, it's rare to get one graded higher, and they go for quite a premium. I really don't like the GSA slabs because they are so big, but I'm not getting them cracked out. I keep the boxes and COA separate just in case I decide to sell them.
