No, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did, there's a lot of stupidity out there.

I have not had them outright rejected, but I have had an instance where the cashier had to ask a manager if he could accept it. Apparently, the manager was intelligent.

There have been a number of such incidents posted on this forum over the years, some of which led to actual arrests. It's amazing that it keeps happening.

I had a young grocery cashier reject a Kennedy half once.
    Does this count?...Ha! Ha!

I have not had this case directly affect me, but my dad did go to school with a lady who called the police on a kid because he was trying to pay for his school lunch with a $2 bill.

The closest I've gotten to that is spending a 2 at Walmart.

Somehow my grandson (6 years old) got a $2 bill and his mom told him I would probably give him $5 for it :)

That was typed quickly, but it meant that at least one of those stories posted involved a person getting arrested, or at least brought to a police station before the $2 bill was declared legitimate.

Just don't "tick" them off and give them your change! LOL. Or Credit Card. That's what I've heard anyways from a friend.

My wife had a cashier do the same thing at a "smoke shop". Not to be prejudice, but he spoke little English and my wife went in the car for change. Ugh!!

Someone told a story (here?) about a dealer who had an uncut sheet of bills and cut it with scissors and rolled it up. On a plane back home, the dealer paid for a drink by pulling the roll out and cutting off the correct amount. They were met by the Secret Service at the airport :)

Want to create a ruckus? Pay a cashier with:

    - Sacagawea dollar
    - SBA dollar
    - Ike dollar
    - $2 bill
    - $1 silver certificate
    - Kennedy half

All in one transaction. Make sure you're wearing a Kevlar vest to ward off the SWAT team sniper.
