ok, here is a simple and basic question. if i go into a bank tomorow with a $50 bill, can i ask for 25 $2 bills? will they have $2 bills, or am i going to have to order them? i want some to spend, just to mix things up a bit.:goofer:
i had to order in multiplies of $200, they are happy to give what they have but it's usually only a couple
The last time that I asked, they offered to order them for me. They had none on hand. [Same as the Adams $'s].
Your question can't be answered unless it specifies a particular branch of a specific bank. Otherwise it's like asking "If I go into my neighborhood grocery and ask for two cases of (a specified brand of any common product) will they sell it to me?" Thank heaven there are no laws telling banks what inventory of coin and currency they must keep on hand in every branch.
I will suggest this. Use the yellow pages. Start calling up banks, ask for the teller line, then ask if any of the tellers have any, or if they have any in the vault. They will ask you how many you want, just tell them "$XXXX or whatever you have if you don't have enough." Good Luck
