Well, my trime finally arrived..she is a beauty. So tiny and delicate though. Must have been a nightmare to not loose one of these back in the day. It really starts to get into inconvenient territory as far as size. But anyway, finally got it, and I think I will definitely enjoy owning it.
Yes, they had to have gotten lost a lot. Friends of mine have found them while detecting. I never did.
I've found two detecting, so yes they did get lost. For such a small coin they must have circulated pretty extensively, most are very worn.
