Is there anything special about the 1901-S VAM-11? Is it worth the time and cost to see if PCGS will show the VAM # on the label? Will they even show VAM numbers?
I don’t think that is one that PCGS will put on the holder according to this list: https://www.pcgs.com/vamvarieties
Thank you for the list. That's a big help. I found a few other Morgans that are on the list. Do you have to pay extra for the label to show the VAM?
Thanks. That's what I needed to know. I have one more to ask about if I may. It's an 1887-S/S VAM-2 I believe it's one of the Top 100. PCGS will probably give it an MS-63. Any premium to this one? I'm not sure where to look for that information. If I sent this to PCGS the fees would be about $70 all together. It would have to be a separate submission.
I have not read this entire thread, but I have purchased both PCGS and NGC slabs and then sent the slab to VSS and the turnaround is lightning quick and the price is VERY reasonable. The biggest expense is insurance and shipping, so it depends on what insured value you are sending to Variety Slabbing Service.
