I just checked out your website Glenn. Fantastic. I too have an interest in the coins of Constantine, and your collection and organization were inspirational and provided a good model/checklist. And when you figure out the FEL TEMP story, let me know. Thanks to the OP for an interesting thread.
The horseman riding down one or two enemies is a harder one. More common is the variation with Magnentius or Constantius struck during the really confused period when those two and Neopotian were jockeying for power. Those used the legend Gloria Romanorum. I'm not sure if the FTR legend ones were a short lived transitional type or just part of the confusion. Either way, I would like one!
Speak of the devil. This coin arrived yesterday from Gert Boersema in the Netherlands. It's a Magnentius with good detail for the soldier, horsehead, and barbarian. A weak strike mars a portion of the coin, but I like it. This is the dealer photo; I haven't yet ruined it with one of my bad ones.
