I don't usually do this but I want some opinions, about the grade it received not about over struck coins.
Would one of you major $1 collectors please tell the whole story of the 1964 again, the only part I that stuck clear with me was that 2 of them got away.
I would say MS-65. The strike doesn't seem sharp enough to merit higher in my book and there is chatter in the fields of the coin.
My grade is meh The luster is meh The strike is meh Price is meh x2 Surface preservation is slightly above meh Should be using a D2 reverse for this coin (16 berry) and other than personal preference by the mint administrator i cant fathom why it wasnt administered into the design Have a nice day
Did you just start a thread on Ms 70? Because there aren't many marks. If we were talking about merit, an overstrike doesn't get much better than this.
