Another interesting Bay CC Trade$, or, I’m glad I don’t collect these…

    Saw this one and saved the images for a later look; seller stated it was given to him in 1988…

    When I went back to look eBay had removed it; I noticed in comparison to known bad 1874-CC (fake PCGS slabbed) examples it appears to have the same reverse, with the same odd “CC” and missing details.

    A friend stated “has a tiny CC like on the 1878 CC Morgan. Not correct for trade dollars”.

    Old thread, new response...

    I actually missed a key attribution detail on these back when I posted this; I have nicknamed it the "Dotted N" Trade which uses this common reverse.

    Several dates used, this in a friend's 1876-CC with this reverse:
