does anyone think I should buy this or not. it is a wounded bison and a walking half that has the ddo. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-2-Er...786622?hash=item465b519f7e:g:F3MAAOSwImRYY-LT
There's no way of knowing the final sale price to tell you if it's a good deal or not, but the walker looks pretty nice. If it stays cheap enough I'd say go for it. I don't know anything about the errors though.
NGS... not NGC.. angle-y According to the following thread, it is a Sports card grading company that is branching into coins. (looks like they are just trying to confuse people and ride on NGC's good reputation) https://www.cointalk.com/threads/ngs-grading-sevice.15895/
It's not a reputable sports card grading company...I can tell you that. The only reputable grading companies for sports cards are PSA (which is the Collector's Universe Company...parent company of PCGS), SGC, and BVG.
I can't say I'd be willing to pay a premium for them. There are hundreds of high-grade Speared Bisons in real TPG slabs, and the DDO (which seems to be righteous, from Variety Vista listings - DD)-002) isn't of enough concern to be recognized by a TPG.
Someone outbid me on that lot even before this thread, but I bid under $10 (so wasn't expecting to win it).
AGP is a self-slabbing basement, not even sealed. NuGrade was a legit albeit 2nd tier service that only lasted a couple years and about 40,000 coins graded.
Do you know anything else about the "Muir Collection" This is all I found: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/672070/an-answer-to-the-muir-collection-query I'm guessing no relation to this guy:
NGS sometimes is seen on the TV coin shows. It seems to have been replaced by the TV sellers by an outfit called IGS.
