Does anyone have info

    I have a nickel which appears to have bee struck twice. The ring on the face is the exact size of a dime. It is hard to see the date but it looks like it is 1974. Any insight is greatly appeeciated.

    Counting /wrapping machine damage would be my thoughts

    I will third that opinion. Its pretty obvious machine damage.

    Mistaking this kind of damage for some kind of error is a pretty common misperception, actually, since it can look fairly unusual sometimes.
