Any insight on this?

    i was told this was pmd however it's not struck completely and off center? Looks like it was jammed in machinery.

    It is post mint damage. It was worn down after the mint and then attempted to cut in half???

    Point is, this would not have come from the mint. Post mint damage for sure.
