I know you're never supposed to wipe coins, but after raising two toddlers, I don't think I would've been able to resist.
You know the funniest thing? The seller also has a Barber Dime with a major lamination listed, which he doesn't realize is a lamination. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1912-P-MERC...076419?hash=item51ee57b543:g:1XYAAOSwnbZYE34E
Seller bookmarked and I need to start searching for Morgans and peace dollars with "unusual lamonations" more often lol. At least he accurately described this "lamination" instead of calling it a moustache
N No. I just noticed it. I have a 26p with a reverse lamination and was assesing its value when I came across this. I wish I would have noticed it when it was live
VAM-12A isn't really "uncommon;" it's available into mid Mint State grade and PCGS shows over 100 in AU alone. The selling price was probably at the high range of fair retail. I certainly wouldn't have gone higher for it.
Agreed. Had I seen it I wouldn't have automatically bought it at $100 to nab it before someone else. I would have offered $60 and went from there
