I've never really collected paper money but I'm thinking about it. Are there any good guidelines on how to store paper currency? For instance keep humidity below a certain level (like coins). store flat? or in plastic holders (any certain kinds to avoid or use). or anything else that I have no idea about collecting paper currency?
Definetly stick with mylar sleeves. See link below for helpful hints. https://collectpapermoney.storesecured.com/how-to-store-world-paper-money-banknotes.asp? Lighthouse has great binders and sheets to choose from.
Paper needs some humidity for proper storage, but not too much. I've heard a steady environment of 68-75 F and 45-55% humidity is best. Coincidentally, this happens to be a range of conditions where humans are relatively comfortable as well.
