I found this a while back while searching an old honey hole put it in some mineral oil back then to get the grime off but still wasn't able to determine a date. I put it in a box of uncertain and I just came across it and thought I would ask what others thought about date possibility. Agreed - 1851.You can read 18*1 and there's enough of the 3rd number to see it has a lower loop, meaning it cannot be a 4. Considering the braided hair cent ran 1839 through 1857, the only possible option is 1851.
