Yes, it is THAT ridiculous if you really dig into it. Let's see what you can come up with.
    I'll be there!

definitely, cars can be a good investment.

buy one for 5,000 - put in 6-8 grand in work. (totalling 11-13k) and sell it to someone for 20-25.
    Thus netting a $9-14k profit.

However, like others have said, in this case you start out with more capital.

If you have more to spend, then you will need less of a percentage gap between the profit and your capital.

Turning 5,000 into 10,000 is much easier than 1,000 into 10,000

Take a day trip to the Saratoga Race Track and put your money down on at least a 10 to 1 shot. If you're lucky you can make your money in one night. But, you could also lose it too. Honestly Ruben, I really have no idea how to make that much money that fast. I can give you the name of a great investment advisor but I really doubt he could even turn that hat trick in that amount of time.

Umm Frank - This is Brooklyn. It is NEVER going to be in a real estate slowdown again in my lifetime.
There is 10 Billion dollars in Building, much of it residential, being built in the next 6 months just in this one neighborhood, and that doesn't include Ratner's Atlantic Yards project.

Sorry about that. Its an inside joke. Most people are aware that I'm a Pharmacist in my spare time, licensed in the state of New York.

Rono, I was seriously considering the Jefferson Spouse. I agree with you. I think it might make a jump. And the Silver Proof sets might do some damage.

Lets stay on topic, OK! (tongue in cheek). Don't get me started on Drug Costs. Soon you will see something on that issue at http://pharmacy.mrbrklyn.com

I'm very sorry for the misunderstanding. The only thing I can say in defense is that its not healthy to be too vigorous in moderating a forum. Its hard to straight jacket individuals speech without creating a lot of bruised feelings. I'd say to your son, "Son", and I have 2 son's to go with my 4 daughters, "Son, sometimes people say things, both on the internet and in the world, on the street and on the big screen, in the home and even on TV, things that are stupid, insensitive, sophmoric, and perhaps not well thought out. But the alternative of straight jacketing people by policing their speach, we lose far more in the richness of our conversations and friendships, than we can gain. And Son, illegal drugs are dangerous and bad."

Thats what I'd say to my Son. But thats me and my kids are reading this so I have to watch what I write.

Hey, we can all pull our money together and see how we do. It would be like an investing club. Zane can handle the money. I trust Zane.

I remember reading that someone had made some enormous profits off of the state quarter spoons on ebay, with Kentucky selling for over $400! It would be an awfully big gamble, but then again, that's the only way to make big money fast.
