Merely showing us close-ups of certain areas is not enough. It might be the result of die deterioration, so a full shot of the coin would help. Chris
It's strike doubling. I know, I know, you're seeing sheriffs I mean serifs and all that fancy jazz at the sub-atomic level and who knows with all the crackpots out there I mean um "experts" these days it might even have a silly number on it by now if one of them saw it first. Look at your last picture. Look at the bottoms of those letters, at how they're slanted upwards. The die slipped and chewed those off. There's not a thing in any of these pictures that says what you're seeing was on the die. Sorry, but keep swinging.
