1986 cent error

    I'm not sure how this would happen during the minting process or what this error would be called. The blank I assume was defective prior to the coin being struck. The flaw is marginally evident on the reverse. View attachment 563988 View attachment 563990

    Right after posting I found info on CT of all places. Come to find out the coin is very common so I deleted the post. Or so I thought.

    There are no known silver Cents from the 80's. Most likely plated.
    Worth 1 Cent.
