2015-2 and for your first thread: 2008-2 (yeah, I'm just lazy). You gotta look for the strike surface differences.

It's difficult for me to say definitively from the photos because I can't really tell if it is a matte or satin finish but I'd guess 2016-2. If 2015-2 didn't have that spot on it I might pick that one as well. Both look to have a more muted finish.

Interesting. Were the angles, lighting, (enhancements) the same for each photo green18? When I look at mine I can have them side by side and I can see the difference. :smug:

The only post processing I did was, resizing the pics, and adding a little light and contrast. That was all. The placement of the camera was the same in each photo.......90 degrees in relation to the coin. The lights (Janscos) were moved to achieve optimum lighting on the subject.

Well guess I didn't get it right. Can I still be Gunga Din?:joyful: I still think I can tell the difference if I have them in hand.;)

Yes you can. :) Like Doug has said, it's hard to differentiate from pics, and if you had the coins in hand, the differences would be quite evident. Not always the case for me though. :)
