so i run into this and think the price is nice but ungraded ect is that a judgement call or something else. i should add this is a french dealer so communication could also be a problem.
I'm not sure what you're asking as I don't see a clear question. If you're concerned if it's real, is this a coin that's often faked (e.g. like the German East Guinea coins)? It looks like a rather obscure coin to me. Is it a high-value coin? It matters a lot if it's a $15 coin or a $1500 coin. Assuming it's not too expensive, I'd just take the chance if I wanted it. Getting it graded without issues is another thing entirely, even if it's genuine. Environmental damage? Scratches? Graffiti? Cleaned? It could have all of those issues. You can't tell based on those low-quality pictures.
I am not familiar with this coin, but I'm pretty sure that it won't get a straight grade. Something was done at 12 o'clock on the obverse and reverse. It may have been mounted at one time. As for a sharpness grade, I'd say EF.

Maybe $30 or so in that grade? Not a coin I would send in for grading. They're not rare in high grade.
