What's on your coin-related bucket list? Things you have to see or have to go to. Things you have to participate in. Even things you have to own.

I'll kick it off with a few of mine:

    1. Tour the Denver Mint (maybe the SF, Denver, CC (museum) and Philly mints?)
    2. Tour the Edward C. Rochette Money Museum in Denver, CO
    3. Take an ANA Grading Class
    4. Join a Coin Club
    5. Attend the ANA World's Fair of Money
    6. Attend the FUN Show in Florida
    7. Meet some of the people from CoinTalk, in person!!!
    8. Own a pre-1800 US coin.
Ok, that's a start. What's on your Coin Bucket List?

I echo number 6 on your list, I really want to take in the January FUN show some year.

    Numbers 7 & 8 I have covered.

I’d like to win the lottery and open my own coin shop and just give away coins to everyone I meet.

But, those are my bucket list items. Do you have any others? I'm looking for ideas of things to put on my bucket list. :D

I like your list and have checked off a few of those. I would add:

    1) attend ANA Summer Seminar
    2) have an article published in the Numismatist (came close this year)
    3) Visit ANS
    4) Attend the NY International Money Show

No kidding..... My last real remaining coin bucket list item is a coin shop for kids. A place that won't make any money, really. "Koinz for Kidz" is the preordained name of the place..... Nothing over twenty bucks would grace the shelves. I believe that I have enough fluff coins in my hoard to get the place off the ground already.

That's ok. I've driven all around CO, from Denver to Estes to CO Springs, to Salida/Buena Vista, to Ridgway and Telluride, up to Grand Mesa & Grand Junction, over to Vail and Breckenridge - so I'm ok with the travel distances. As of now, the plan is to buy a home in CO at some point. My wife and I are retired, so we have time to make that 2-hr trip. :)

At 84 years with "diminished capacity" my past bucket list has been fulfilled, and the current items are: 1. Arise from bed tomorrow, 2. Know where I am, 3. Figure out what I must do alone with my canine, and partner in final stage of Altzheimers, 4. How to complete #1-3. ADVANCE AGE IS NOT FOR SISSIES!! LOL

    1. Seen both the Denver and Philly mints. Nice tour. Gift
    shop WAY WAY over priced.
    2. Saw the museum twice when I attended the Summer ANA
    in '07 and '17, I think.
    3. I trust my own skills from collecting for over 60 years.
    4. Would like to join a club, don't know of one within 200
miles of me. I live in N.E. Tenn.
    5. Been to 15+ Summer shows and a half dozen Winter ones.
    6. Last time I went to the FUN show was in the 80's. Lots
of FUN. Health reasons I won't be going.
    7. Met @lordmarcovan a few years ago in Ashville. One of the
most generous people I know. Has done more to promote
the hobby than anyone I know.
    8. I own a handfull of pre 1800 large cents. Mostly beaters. My
collection is predominantly DATED pre 1501 A.D. European
    coins.
    9. I'll add one. Would love to travel to Europe to see some of the
cities that had mints that produced Dated coins pre 1501 A.D.
My health and my wifes health prevent this dream.

My wish for you, is that as I, you complete your current list with your partner, reach my age, have equipment to visit/watch the outside world, and are able to peacefully enjoy memories of a past better(?) world!

    Colorado is beautiful.
My favorite place to live in Co. is the 4 corners area. I lived in Bayfield for 6 yrs. Bayfield is about 18 mi east of Durango.

I haven't made a bucket list yet, I live 20-30 minutes from the Denver mint and have never made it in. I was in the line twice, but got called away for a job both times.

I kinda fell in love with a few places, unfortunately! We want to live very near big mountains. Right now, we think the Estes Park (maybe within 1/2 hour, not necessarily in the town) is where we want to be. But, that could change.

So the Front Range. You should make a trip to Durango, the area is beautiful. You have the Weminuche Wilderness, Silverton plenty to do, lots of fishing, rafting, mountains that surround you. The area is very rich in American history.

We did pass thru Durango and Silverton. I liked Silverton quite a bit. We're not buying anything just yet - waiting for the next housing crash to buy. LOL! We'll have to visit CO some more before making a final decision.

I don't know if i would call it a bucket list but I do have 3 things I would like to do and two of them may happen in the next year or so.
    1. I have never been to a coin show but have vague plans to go to the Northland coin show in Minneapolis.
    2. My wife and I have talked about making an anniversary trip to Winnipeg Canada. I want to see the mint and she wants to attend an art festival.
    3. I would love to see my favorite mint; New Orleans. The old presidio building and all the old mint stuff are on dispaly there. The ANA is also offering a deep dive class on the New Orleans mint this summer but that is as they say in The Maltese Falcon, "The stuff dreams are made of." James

Is this the show you're referring to?

If so, this one is awesome! I try to take it in every spring and fall.
