1st snag of the year

I like to use cash for my purchases whenever possible. The young guy who didn’t look old enough to count change at the register said, “I’m running out of one dollar bills, you wouldn’t mind a bunch of quarters, would you?”
I replied, “Not at all, I’ll even take half dollar coins.”
He then said, “Oh, I think I got one. It doesn’t have the picture of 'that dude' on it, you still want it.”
I nonchalantly replied, “Sure, why not.”
So, I get my first silver in 2025 and for face value, to boot.

It was a Compare Foods grocery store in NC. I don't think the young cashier knew that it was silver or maybe they were into Bitcoin and didn't care. Who knows. I was just very happy to get it.

 

Give them something (Coffee or something) the next time you're in.
