I was just cleaning up, and this penny was sitting on my coffee table. I noticed it was a wheat penny, and I flipped it over and was taken aback by how pretty it was. There are no marks on this coin anywhere. I don't know where it came from. It's about as near a perfect coin as I've ever held in my hand (except the Proof set I had). I looked it up on the web and no big deal, that I could see. I did read that it is bronze (I like bronze). But isn't it pretty? I don't know what to do with it but I did slide it into one of those coin holders made of cardboard and clear plastic over the top. Anyway, that's all I have to say about it.
Scouts honor. I was as shocked as could be. I didn't think it was worth a lot of money-I just feel like this little penny hasn't seen the light of day since it was created because it was put away for the last 83 years. I have no idea how it got on my table. I'm sure it was with other coins. If I hadn't noticed the back, I probably wouldn't have turned to look at the front. Unless I noticed how clean it was...if only a penny could talk...I guess we'll never know.
Not sure of your collecting level (beginner, advanced?) but I would suggest you put it in a flip. It's a nice looking wheatie. If you don't have any coin flips, you can buy them here: https://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/products/cardboard-coin-flips/ And get a flat cinch stapler as well, if you have a few extra bucks (makes a world of difference): https://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/product/max-flat-clinch-stapler-full-size.html
