Wow, that's incredible! Was it all at one time or is this your accumulation from searching for a long time?

It was all at one time - two whole rolls with nothing but 90% silver, and it only cost me $20 face value.

Half dollars come in rolls of $10, so yes, $100 is 10 rolls, and will have 200 coins.

OK, going through my latest box of nickels, I have found so far

    Two thousand 2007D's

    end of report.

I've gotten pretty close to the nickels and they are starting to trust me now. they tell me things. One of them told me that it was struck on a planchet intended for a 2006D nickel.
I'm going to send it off to SGS to be slabbed and then list it on Ebay as a very rare error as it's very rare for the mint to mess up their line clearance procedures and allow such a thing to happen.

    Two questions:

Who thinks SGS would slab it?

Who thinks someone on ebay would actually bid on it with such a story?

Went through another $10 in nickels today.

6 to consider for my album:
    40P
    41P
    46P
    53P
    58D
    61D

In the last roll - 6 from the end - was the Buffalo :hail: . I made the comment yesterday in another thread that I wish I could find one - today I did - It was a good day. :smile

I wish I could find a entire roll - lets see if it works for tomorrow :D

Pardon the foreigner, but how do you know it's on a 2006D planchet?

If sgs actually slabbed customer coins, I'm sure they would slab it. MS 70 for sure. I'm also sure someone would bid on it, not in one of my auctions, but most peoples!!

Just going a little stir crazy here, 2000 of the same nickel will do that to you.

On the lighter side, the other box I went through this week netted,

    1974S proof
    1942S silver
    1998 canadian proof nickel
a few dozen from the 40's and 50's
    a couple canadian nickels
    two 1939 (no doubling)
and a NAMCO game token (at least I can use this, I found a lithium battery in a nickel roll last week)

I'm about to go dumpster diving through five rolls of halves. Other than the 1964-1970 what else is good for a Kennedy?

I hate when i buy rolls of cents and find 10 canadian cents in each roll. I have to cull them because the automatic wrapper machines won't take them and i'm not handrolling.

I prob have $40 in canadian money i've gotten in circulation. One day i'll bring it in to cash into US currency
