Woohoo! Money is coming in the the left and the right for the first time!!! Gonna have appox. $500 my August 1st and I plan to spend most of it, if not all. What should I get? I was thinking the next first spouse gold coin (quik turn around, I'm looking to make money not collect). Do you recomend any others? Please don't tell me "stop taking coins away from the people who collect them"
Yeeeah, Hi. I'm gonna have to go ahead and ask that you not take coins away from the people who collect them. mmmkay? Thanks a bunch.
$500...buy as many morgans in MS63/64 PCGS rattler holders as you can and then resubmit them. The odds are at least a few will bump up a grade or two. A common date certified MS65 morgan will fetch anywhere from $110 to $150.
With that much you can probably buy some nice semi key dates, like; Both: 1909 S & 1914 D Lincolns and probably have enough left for the 1931 S. Or: Barber half Dollars: 1913, 1914, 1915 all in good with enough left for a 1914 S quarter. Many other possibilities. I am saving semi-keys, they have a lot of room to grow.
how quickly are you looking to make money? In 09 the lincoln series will get a shot in the arm and prices will likely sky rocket for keys and semi keys, thats a year and a half from now. The barber quarter series is looking for an upturn esp when it comes to the 1914-s 105 in VG (same mintage as the 16-d dime) and the 1913-P 75 in F (same mintage as the 09 vdb s). If you're willing to speculate that's the way I am currently going I've snapped up 3 1913's G/VG/VG in the last two weeks and one 09 vdb in UNC.
Go to this thread http://www.cointalk.org/showthread.php?t=27269 and hook up with mrbrklyn. You'll both be gazillionairs in 6 weeks! Or you could buy a roll of circ Roosevelts and Mercs. GAHHHH! Wow, that was mean and I feel shame. Get what you want and good luck!
i changed my mind. i got some old coins that are worth about 20 bucks ill give u those for 550. you will know this is the most honest deal you will ever get
With that much money for coins I would suggest buying a coin you need---and not for resale. If you are working on Wheat Cents that would buy a 1909-S VDB in low grade---and if you are collecting Washington Quarters that would buy both the 32-D and S in lower circulated grades with alittle left over. I would not buy Mint or Proof sets---and I wouldn't buy bullion if I were you. Speedy
oh she was just 17, you know what I mean and the way she looked, I saw her standing there! yep, i know that one
