Patina reproduced

    Questions have been raised about the difficulty of reproducing in pictures the exact color of patina. Here is an example of black patina on small coin of Samos which took several unsatisfactory attempts and some post corrections before reaching this result.

    That's a beautiful coin and a real nice image of it. Black/dark patina is hard to photograph and get decent results. I think your images are great.

    Gorgeous patina, very nice pics! I do not have the knack or, unfortunately, the patience to shoot photos well...
