Pics are so difficult with the ASE. I say none are.
The 2011-1 maybe possibly, but I've always thought the 2011 didn't come burnished period. :bookworm:

    Edited:
I was looking at the wrong numbers the 2008 -2 not the 11-1. Still thinkng the 08 didn'the come burnished either. But could be wrong on that assuption. The only burnished I have is 06.

Do you want us to post our guess...or keep it secret?

Also, any chance for a reverse photo. :D

Post your answer in the poll, or PM me and I'll let ya know if your guess is right or wrong.

The point of this thread is to illustrate how it's sometimes difficult (at least for me) to distinguish between the two strikes.

Actually, they were (shots) taken with the coins still in the Dansco Album. Getting the beginning of some interesting toning. :)

I can't wait for a few of the regular "experts" to come and enlighten us all as to which are which and how they can easily tell the difference.

I had to dig deep to pull my ASE''s out. It's been a while since they've seen light.
I have to say it's really hard to look at a photo and say for sure, but you all have said it. It's difficult with your eyes. My ASE collection is incomplete some raw some graded. I thought 06 was my only "polished" but it seems I picked up a 16 W somewhere & forgot I had it.
    YOU ALL WIN!!!

the ony way I can tell is by looking at the reverse and seeing the W mint mark. P.S. I'm new to this sight, and been collecting just a few years.

I think anybody would be hard pressed to tell the difference based on pictures. Some would be hard pressed to tell even by viewing individually and in hand. But I think just about anyone could easily see the difference if looking at a "burninshed" and regular side by side and in hand.

wow, I would have gotten the first 2 correct by lucky guessing.
The 3rd I flipped a coin as my guess and got it wrong - I should have flipped an ASE then maybe I would have gotten it right.

They don,t...They,re bullion strikes. Bullion strike coins are specially handled and not dumped into bins. They also have more perfect blanks, and are carefully handled with modern digital robotics. Business strike coins are our circulating coins which are not treated in any special way...that,s why they,re so rare in ultimate grades.
