My Christmas Present

Of late I have had no time to play with coins, I won't bore you with the details. My Secret Saturnalia gift arrived and I have thanked my Gifter, Theodosius for a wonderful Galerius follis and will post pictures once I have time to take them.

In the meantime, an envelope arrived this morning with the coin my husband bought me for Christmas. I handed it over to him, unopened, to wrap for me. But here is the seller's pic.



My thanks to @Nicholas Molinari for his advice on this purchase, it will definitely make it into my top ten coins.

I like the details on the man faced bull.
I have yet to open my Secret Saturnalia gift as I've been at University for the past month with no time to head back home. I'll open it and post it here in a few hours when I return.

I confess I've also been both good and bad LOL ....since I just paid for a high grade Nero denarius I won at auction replacing the 'nice fake' I recently returned. But, I won't receive it until sometime the end of this year or after the coming New Year.

Rats, I was going to have fun and look it up in @Nicholas Molinari 's book. LOL, pulled his book, and realized it is for AE issues. He has yet to publish the Silver versions... I am waiting for his announcement.

 

No doubt, that's an awesome addition/gift.

No one in my family including my wife seem generous when it comes to numismatic gifts.
