A packet arrived from a recent auction today, so four interesting GB pieces to share! 1677 Charles II sixpence, 1693 William and Mary sixpence, 1693 William and Mary shilling, 1720/17 George I Halfcrown:
I rarely purchase non-US coinage, but this one was (is) worn so slick that I couldn't pass it up. That leaves one glaring issue though... I haven't a clue what it is! Lol! I can see a silhouette on one side (assuming the obverse) with the letters "LI..." to the right of the bust. Reverse shows a date of 1924, but with two 0's preceeding it. If anyone here has any idea what this might be, please enlighten me and I'll forever be grateful. At the least, I could pass it up for $1. Thanks!
Three new purchases arrived, just in time for Christmas! Montfort, 1679, 15 Kreuzer, AU55 Panama, 1904, 2 1/2 Centesimos, "Panama Pill" MS65 Cologne, Archbishopric, 1655, 8 heller, AU53
