Hi guys firstly apologies if this in the wrong section ,could someone please help me identify this coin ,was told once it was a religious coin ,but I have no idea ,many thanks in advance
More like a Religious Medal commemorating some religious figure. I found this https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/...0059/lot-18d94758-3273-4938-b193-a5b6010e65d7
My Latin's not the best, but the obverse reads something like this. Most proclaimed servant of the son. The reverse reads, Born 21 May 1812- Died 18 June 1901, Age ninetieth year. The date on the obverse seems to indicate the portrait and sayings are a standard obverse die for this medal. The reverse dates made special each time.
That's a very handsome medal. Looks silver. My Latin's probably not even good as that of @old49er, though I was able to read the dates.
