When the kids were small we'd always take them to the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum around Christmastime. That was always a favorite. When I was small, Mom's father would always set up a layout in his basement. I understand that he'd been doing it since Mom was a girl, and all the kids in the neighborhood would come to see it. Those trains passed down to my uncle, who set them up in his basement for years. But now both he and his son are gone, and I'm not sure what became of the train stuff.
