    Very nice specimen there Chris!

I used to have a French ecu of Louis XIV of 1706. Paris mint I recall, flan neuf (not restruck) in NGC-64. But I sold my whole French collection the 1st year of my divorce & no pics can be found.

Stunning talers there @wcg. Why does it say Sede Vacante on the 1st one?

I'm also looking for a Munster thaler but an earlier one.

    1705 dated Dutch medal

    Netherlands 1705 01.jpg

    Netherlands, Pieter Codde, 1705 Medal
Pieter Codde (Coddaeu) Archbishop of Sebaste, Vikaris in the Netherlands.

    Composition: Silver
    Weight: 37.8g
    Diameter: 43.9mm
    (unsigned).

    Obverse: Bust facing right
Reverse: Lightning from the Vatican aimed at lamb who has his foreleg on book titled RESP.(ONSIONES)(translated as "Answers")is destroyed by other lightning from the clouds. In the left foreground the Dutch lion with sword and bundle of arrows.

    Van Loon IV, 467.

Pieter Codde was a big supporter of Jansenism which was a controversial religious movement during the 17th and 18th centuries in Roman Catholic history. Jansenism arose out of the theological problem of reconciling divine grace and human freedom and emphasized original sin, human depravity, the necessity of divine grace, and predestination. He was suspended from his office in 1702 by Pope Clement XI due to this. A very impressive medal full of interesting symbolism.

And one of the most important (to me) items in my collection. The first Wildman coin I ever purchased.

All I can offer is another GB Half Crown for 1704, although this one is a bit better than the 1705:

I think that is a very nice contribution. Great condition for being over 300 years old.

I offer you this GB 1703 Sixpence. These coins are particularly interesting to GB collectors because of the word "Vigo" beneath the bust, which indicates the coin was mad from silver captured at the battle of Vigo Bay in 1702. See : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Vigo_Bay for further details.
