The (in)famous monster toned two-headed 1895 Morgan!

I saw this on eBay and thought people on here would like to have a laugh at the newest rarity: a monster toned 1895 two headed Morgan!

Thoughts on the toning, NT or AT?

I think we have an honest EBay seller. That's the best description for this coin I've seen in a long time.

 

Since it's a magician's coin (made of two lathed down original dollars) or a pure counterfeit, it's certainly AT.

I have to wonder. Both faces look cast, but the bottom one has a die crack.

 

I'm not sure if it's struck or cast. However, casting molds can crack similarly to dies.

I think it's just one of these and I think they are struck.

Oops. I see it said two headed.

 

I wouldn't go that far. It's theoretically possible someone could put one of these in an album for a lot of years, so you could end up with one with natural toning. This one looks like it was torched though.

 

It is a nice example of a two headed, rainbow toned, forged 1895 Morgan. I will give it that.
