What years and coins did the New Orleans Mint make?

i have absolutley no clue about it so would some kind soul please inform me?

I can give you a start - The New Orleans Mint operated from 1838-1909. I know they made dollars and dimes, but I haven't pored through the Red Book to see what others had "O" mintmarks.

 

They also had some gold coin releases as well.

Yep. That book is a "must have" for anyone who is interested in US coinage.

 

Although there is not a New Orleans minted coin for each of these years, here are the types and date ranges for the silver coins:

Half Dimes 1841-1860
Dimes 1838-1860 and 1891-1909
Quarters 1840-1860 and 1891-1909
Halves 1838-1861 adn 1892-1909
Dollars 1846-1860 and 1879-1904
