Purchased at an auction today and thought I would share. I think I ended up with a pretty decent picture displaying the broken upper lip. How did I do?
Heck of a job on the upper lip, attaching strait on pics of the coin are much appreciated. Also, Welcome to CT. Nice pics.
Thanks. I'm new to coin..tography(?), but I figured a couple different lighting/perspective pics does a better job of showing condition. That's what I've always thought as well! I was a little worried I might have overpaid, but comparing it to similar on ebay and other auction sites has eased my mind. It has a little bit of wear on Franklin's cheek, but is lacking in any large bag marks in prominent locations which I've seen on too many internet listings. So, I'm pretty happy with it. I'll put it away until (hopefully) the value is worth getting it graded.
If I were you, I'd send that puppy in to get graded. According to Numismatic News, a 1955 bugs graded MS65 FBL is - $750
