This is only token I have seen that has no hole at the top. 1789 George Washington token. I have been searching and can't find anything
Bad picture. Looks to be the GW Death Token. Most are the same image on both sides and Some are blank on the Reverse. It's common. I think the holes were deliberately made to be worn on a necklace.
I believe that photograph is of an Oreo cookie. Then again, I could be mistaken. It could be a Hydrox.
It's early and I'm already tired. I wake up tired at this time of the year. Too many hours at work but that photo is either out of focus or I'm worse off than I thought.
Standard. Doesn't appear to be thick enough for a DoubleStuf. @Fr33kn1337 - please pardon my having a little fun at your expense (or your photograph's expense, anyway.) Welcome. I think I jinxed myself by poking fun here. Tried to do some coin photos this morning and while you could actually tell they were coins in the images, they came out terrible. Me and my new camera are off to a slow start. The learning curve is steep. So far I have figured out how to turn the camera on. Most of the time. I think I know which way you're supposed to point it, too. That's a start.
Speaking of coin images, you mentioned in the "Big Copper" thread how you went about getting the images for the 1848 10 centimes. Have you ever experimented with axial lighting for your toners? Chris
"How I went about getting my images for that and the other toners" is easy. I paid for Phil Arnold at PCGS to shoot TrueView images of them, that's how! LOL (Actually, that 1848 French 10-centimes essai came from Atlas Numismatics already in the PCGS slab. And since PCGS requires the Secure Plus tier with World coins, and the Secure Plus tier comes with a free TrueView now, well... there you go.) I do not yet have the skills to photograph something like that coin.
If the first thing you learned was to turn the camera on, then point it, the next thing should be turn it off so as not to wear out the battery. But then, that's another lesson. Have fun and enjoy life! I do.
D'oh. Funny you should mention the "forgetting to turn it off" thing. I've killed the battery on it twice now.
Is a DoubleStuf Oreo just a regular Oreo with a thick planchet? Edit: It has come to my attention that there is also a MegaStuf Oreo. Amazing!
I wish they would come out with a Naked Oreo with NO stuf. I like the cookies. The white, creamy "stuf" in the middle is too sweet for me. When I was a kid, my sister and I had a symbiotic relationship. I ate the cookie part. She ate the Stuf. I ate the cake. She ate the icing. We have now by this point totally diverged from the original topic of this thread. Hopefully we have not frightened @Fr33kn1337 off, and he is preparing better pictures of what could be an interesting token...
