Hello all! (I know, I'm a goofball). Today being Monday, I came up with this thread called " Moon & Stars Monday!". It's "easy peezy". Just post a coin, token, medal or even buttons with either a Moon, Stars or both.
Thanks! Only 9 days left until Christmas all! :D

So many US coins with stars, might as well post this one with only one star remaining. Thanks again @lordmarcovan

Wow, you’re thanking me for that one? ;)

I will say, though- it does have character.

This is an Ancient bronze coin from the city of Miletus. Minted sometime during the 4th century BC.
Lion facing left with magistrate mark above. Sun/Star on the reverse.
1 of 3 Known and thought to be an experimental strike.

Later examples from Miletus would depict the lion looking back at a sun/star above, and a bust of Apollo on the obverse, like this hemidrachm also from my collection:

Okay here's an 1876 HK-71 SCD minted by George Soley, he's the man who made those little prayer tokens with the Our Father prayer on the reverse, here's a pic of the little ones! :D He used to be a US Mint employee as well as a token maker privately selling tokens anywhere he could transport his huge steam press. :D

Here’s a 13th century silver dirham I had, which has sun, moon, and a star on it.

This coin might have remained in my (certified) collection, but unfortunately PCGS considered it an ineligible type. Too esoteric for them, apparently? And I was only using PCGS back then. I don’t recall if NGC would have graded it.
