1945 Mercury Dime Error ?

    This dime has raised metal between the 9 and the four. Is this anything special?
    I'm very new to coins- learning as I go.

    Please help:)

    Welcome to CT.Looks like it is damaged. Nothing special. Still a silver dime. Keep looking and posting.

    Yes, badly gouged but still worth the silver content.

    Like the others said, it is damaged, but it does contain .07234 ounces of silver.
