I'm happy with results. I got my first label error too and it's a strange one as VAM 10 isn't even one they recognize. I guess I defacto discovered both the v84 & v10 now lol. Very happy with the 21p v3U1 too as it's top pop at 64 and popular despite not being a "list" VAM. The 00o v15a is a popular top-100 that I was expecting 61 or 62 on, and who doesn't love the relatively rare 91cc v7 in any grade
Nice going. Like how PCGS has done the labels. I do think the VAM number should be under the grade, as it is on the 1879, tho something is wrong VAM 10 or 84. Could it somehow be both? Congrats on the discovery coin, you have been named by the discovery coin pictures at Vam World. Copied from VAMWORLD.com 1879-P VAM-10 Doubled 1 (No Pictures) 1 in date is doubled at top left of upper serif and on top left and right of bottom crossbar. Open 9 variety. 1879-P VAM-84 Doubled 1-9, Tripled/Quadrupled Stars *NEW 2016* "The Drooling Eagle" (Lots of pictures)
The stickers on the back are @messydesk's Variety Slabbing Service company (VSS) www.varslab.com NOT from PCGS. Messydesk will correctly attribute all Morgan & Peace dollar VAMs with his tamper proof sticker. The VAM 10 on the label is an Error by PCGS and a strange one at that as they don't even attribute the 79s VAM 10. Pretty strange but funny. That coin is the discovery of the VAM 84 "drooling eagle"
Thanks I was wondering about the VSS in the title I am glad VamWorld had a clear picture of the 'drool' Very Nice.
Those are all my pictures and all of this coin. I have seen only one other v84 so far and the "drool" was barely visible so it's strongest on EDS specimens.
Not much to add. PCGS graded them and John attributed them; nothing for me to do except point at PCGS and laugh at the 1879. That, and the fact they apparently think only one of them is a Morgan. Yes, I know it's to differentiate from the Peace.
Ha. I didn't even notice that. I wonder what's up with that lol. I guess they do that with 21's. Never really noticed.
