On the 1999 cent coins there are three mints, P Pennsylvania, D Denver and S San Francisco. The P and D mints are regular circulation coins called business strikes. The S mints are proof coins. On the proof S mint, the rare cent coin is the close AM. On the P mint, the rare coins are the wide AM. As far as I know there are no wide AM D minted cents.
