Here’s an extra entry for @SensibleSal66- just because I like his sunset photo, and so we can still inject the tiniest amount of random chance into this round and prevent it from becoming a total @BuffaloHunter landslide. ;)

Damn, I missed a couple of draws as I went to visit the folks at the weekend and I'm a bit forgetful. :(

    I'd like a buffalo please.

<Best said in a UK Black Country accent>

Q: What's the difference between a buffalo and a bison?

A: You can't wash your hands in a buffalo. :woot:

Only 12 days left 'til Christmas, and we're not yet even at the halfway point. Let's move this thing along, shall we? :)

TIME FOR THE ROUND 5 DRAWING!

    And Post #229 was by... @Sting 60 ... on behalf of @BuffaloHunter !

Good on you, @Sting 60 - and coingratulations, @BuffaloHunter! You have triumphed over those impossible odds ;), and won Lot #5!

Randy will need your shipping address, if he does not already have it. I shall message y'all shortly.

Please be sure to post to this thread after you have received your prize. We will all be interested to know what your "mystery" prizes were, as well!

@Randy Abercrombie - please post a shipping notification here when have you mailed the prize, so I can keep the round summary in the intro up to date. Thanks.

Nice contest! Only Six chances left to win prizes, but I feel that I've already won because I get to be here. :D

    LET ROUND 6 BEGIN!

    banner- day 6.png

    @lordmarcovan gave to thee...

    (6) pieces of Russian silver "wire money", circa 1533-1717.

Russian wire money was, as the name implies, hand-hammered on flattened pieces of silver wire. I confess I lack the knowledge to properly attribute these, but they generally date from around 1533 in the reign of Ivan the Terrible, on up to around 1717 in the reign of Peter the Great. (I suspect mostly the latter in this case.)

These are crudely struck and small, as is typical. They feature a horseman on one side and Cyrillic inscriptions on the other. This lot consists of six pieces (dengas? kopecks?).

There will also be some additional "mystery prize" items.

To enter this round, all you need to do is:

    1. Say that you want this lot, and
    2. post something else coin-related or cheerful.

Then, sometime in the next 2-4 days (depending on my schedule), we'll do the drawing and move on to the next round.

You may of course say you want it for someone else, if you name that person.

    Round summary in Post #1.

Seven, actually, if you count the current round (6) and the upcoming ones: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

So it is not until the end of this round (Round 6) that we will reach the halfway point in this contest.
