    A Die Chip inside the Mint Mark. Minor error and common occurrence.

    Thanks ,I'm confused you say chip , why does it look like more of a very neat glob?

    It's not a chip as a chocolate chip.
    The Chip, or break, is on the Obverse Die itself hence Die Chip. The metal from the blank planchet then flows into the chip resulting in the term Die Chip.. your glob ;)
