Don't be disappointed or discouraged from doing something like this again. You had flyers taken and coins handled- with phones and such nowadays who really needs a piece of paper. You may never know the influence your exhibit had on a person, but several years from now one of those kids might start a collection and just might remember your exhibit of those ancient coins . . . Kudos to you! -Doug
thanks doug! yeah, i thought about that, i'd say it's even probably several people saw it and thought it was kind of cool. some displays i saw years ago that interesting to me.
Your display is very nice! I'm planning something similar at my church and you have just motivated me! Thank you!!!
I don't know how I missed this when you first posted it but this was a pretty awesome thing you did. Thinking back to when I was in high school...pretty unlikely I would have contacted you. But I probably would have taken the literature. Heck, two of the most profound teachers in my life most likely have no idea how much of an influence they were. So you may never really know how big of an impact you have made. You did a good thing by putting that out there, it's like you planted seeds in a garden you may never see again.
I don't think your time was wasted at all! Your display was completely awesome and your heart in the right place. I just know you stirred the bug in a few kids. Let's face it, this is a niche hobby so the % of hits is going to be low. All we can do is carry the flame and hope to pass it on to a few, willing and able souls, to continue the journey after us. You did great!
