    I don't think either is a type C...but the photos are a little blurry so I can't tell for sure. Can you please try and post clearer photos of the reverses?

    Your sentences are just as blurry. Use periods at the ends of them.

    The 4th coin from the bottom is definitely a type C.

    Good diagnosis Michael! Can you share the source? All I could find was;

    From NGC Variety Plus;

    1964D TYPE C REV OF 65 25C

    Variety Diagnostics

    This reverse displays strong breast feathers, bolder leaves and tail feathers.

    The hub which produced this die was intended solely for clad quarters. This die was used by mistake while the Denver Mint was coining both 1964-D and 1965 quarters. The design is dramatically different when the two coins are compared side by side.

    From PCGS Coin Facts;

    Jaime Hernandez: In 1965 the Mint introduced a new reverse design for the Washington Quarter. The 1965 design displayed sharper details on the leaves of the wreath on the reverse design. This 1965 reverse design is also referred to as a Type C design and is found on most 1965 quarters. Very few 1964 Quarters are known with a Type C design that it makes it a very scarce variety in the Washington Quarter series.

    This coin (same photo posted twice, I won't try to number it)

    is absolutely a Type C reverse. The other is the normal reverse.

    Here are two of mine for comparison:

    It's not worth getting graded - in this condition it's essentiallly a wash (you'll pay as much in grading fees and shipping as the coin is worth.)

    You may want take a look at my presentation on the different Reverse Die Varieties (RDVs) in Washington Quarters CSNA's 48th Annual Northern California Educational Symposium in Van Nuys, CA back in April 23, 2016:

    http://heartlandcoinclub.com/links.html#link14

    Use the cheat sheet as quick way to help you identfiy the different varieties. Use the information on presentation to confirm it, it has more detailed information about each variety.

    I should be ready to update the information and include photos for RDV-011 and RDV-012 soon, hopefully, this weekend, no promises. Meanwhile, I have added some "temporary" pick up points for these two RDVs.

    Comments and corrections are always welcomed :happy:

    I also downloaded a copy.
    I only have a 57 MS64 and 58 MS63 type "B" both PCGS , I do look for them sometimes.
    The write up is very nicely done and is a very good reference to use.
    I like the outline on the quick reference sheet.

    Thanks Robert. It is nice to hear that you guys liked it.

    I also wanted you to know that I liked the way you referred to my Cheat Sheet so I renamed to Quick Reference Sheet it sounds more professional. THANKS!

    I am in the process of updating both documents, a new version should be available this weekend. I will post an announcement when they new versions are available.

    Thanks, these feedbacks and likes are pushing me to do the update sooner than the weekend. There are, I think, great updates to the original presentation, I hope everyone finds them interesting as I do.
