I don't have many Thracian coins and this is my only Chersonesos.
I believe this coin was struck just after Lysimachus destroyed Kardia in 309 BC.
He then transferred the population that was left of Kardia to his new capital of Lysimachea.
I wish I could've found a better example mainly the reverse lion (stevex6) may have one.
    It's rare but I don't think it's that rare.

    Thracian, Chersonesos.
    Kardia 309-350 BC, Ae 20mm, 7.4g.
Wreathed head of Persesphone left with tripple pendant ear ring.

Lion standing left breaking spear with mouth. Grain ear in exergue.

Wow, Smojo => I love your cool AE version ... it is very cool (I have an AR version, but now I "really" want/need to find myself one of these amazingly awesome AE examples)

... you had me at "Lion"

I'm looking for a replacement, within budget.

Some reason I thought you'd like a lion. Also thought I could fish an example out of the group, really thought you would have one.

I'd like to see your AR

I'd say 95% of the ancients I have are "very humble". ;)
I'd think most of us have a budget to stick to.
I still post them especially when nobody asks.
You Mr. Stevex have some of the nicest but yet bizarre collections.
