The rest that are going to PCGS this week. The guy that I bought it from has 5 consecutive serial numbered 42s like this. Told me ifnhe didn't presell it to me before he got the coins in hand he would have kept all 5 lol. And the other coins awaiting a trip to PCGS for trueviews and secure slabs
And all I have sitting here is this crummy 1956 D from my "paid less than $1 for each coin" Library of Coins album...lol
I like the polish lines on the obverse. There is something about the way they catch the light and then vanish under the devices that just pleases me.
I found this years ago with the hoards of wheat pennies. i guess I threw it in years ago because of the nice luster for a coin that was relatively old to me at the time. It really strikes me on how high the luster is compared to the lack of detail in Abe's face.
I have a few of them that I cannot wait for and I will indeed post them here,I know there are a few color fanatics that appreciate color as much as I have grown to over the last few years. Stay tuned!
Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a raw Gem BU 1927-S in my $50 price range. But I have these!
I just finished searching a bag of cents I purchased in October and this is what I found. I have found two of these while looking through thousands of wheat cents.
Just spent the last two hours going through a bucket of post wheat Lincolns for anything of interest. I pulled out a few nicely toned and this 1993. I assume this is the result of grease. No LI on Liberty and only a very faint 3 visible for the year.
