Well have finaly got a few Slovakian coins for my collection, here is a brief run down on them with of course scans :smile I hope that you enjoy them.

    Autonomous Republic of Slovakia 1939-1945

The First Slovak Republic, led by a clerical fascist leader Jozef Tiso, declared its independence from Czechoslovakia in 1939. However, Tiso's government was strongly influenced by Germany and gradually became a puppet regime. An anti-Nazi resistance movement launched a fierce armed insurrection, known as the Slovak National Uprising in 1944. A bloody German occupation and a guerrilla war followed. Most Jews were deported from the country and murdered in German concentration camps during the Holocaust. Jozef Tiso was hanged in 1947 for collaboration with Nazism.

    President
    Jozef Tiso 14 Mar 1939 - 3 Apr 1945

    Prime Ministers
Jozef Tiso 14 Mar 1939 - 29 Oct 1939 deposed by Czech troops
    Vojtech Tuka 29 Oct 1939 - 5 Sep 1944
    Stefan Tiso 5 Sep 1944 - 3 Apr 1945

Initially, the Slovak koruna was at par with the Bohemian and Moravian koruna, with 10 korún = 1 Reichsmark. This was changed, on October 1, 1940, to a rate of 11.62 Slovak korún = 1 Reichsmark, with the value of the Bohemian and Moravian currency unchanged against the Reichsmark.

The designers of the new coinage were Anton Hám, Andrej Peter, Gejza Angyal, Ladislav Majerský and František Štefunko. Coins were minted in the Kremnica Mint.
The coins for the most part were in circulation up to the end of 1948
