AWESOME. Luckily for poor guys like me, there are similar designs on South American notes Kudos to the ABNC for making cool stuff no matter where they go
I got a lot of trash along with the Curacao note I really wanted. Turned out the condition of the Curacao note is also trash. Oh well. Get what you pay for I guess.
Peru 10 soles. Interestingly enough, it has the same reverse vignette as the obverse vignette of the 1915 Chihuahua 5 Pesos.
Here is my newest addition to the family, already have the top PCGS registry for the Series 661 now starting one on the PMG side, not a super high grade but a good pick up never the less
Nice looking Providence Obsolete @Nathan401 Featuring a large vignette of the United States Capitol with its old center dome, this note bears the imprint of "American Bank Note Company, New York". Of course, this is not THE American Bank Note Company formed in 1858, three years after this note was issued, but rather a trade name used by Jocelyn, Draper, Welsh & Co. between 1854 and 1858. The bank incorporated in 1854 and failed two years later.
I have the 1 and the 5. I believe I still need a 2,3,10, and 20. Correct? Both of my notes are 1855, and I haven't seen many of the other 2 dates. Are they scarcer?
I think you're right, no 20's. Thank you for that. The vignettes on all the notes from this bank are fantastic!
A couple from Chile. I really like the one with the ship. For some reason, I've developed a strong attraction to vignettes of ships, trains, and other old-school transportation vehicles - does anybody know any cheap, cool notes like that?
