This is an entry post for Dongdong2 on CollecOnline, who is a Korean high school student who messaged me directly on that site (due to difficulty registering here), and who is interested in the Spanish cob 1-real piece, for reasons mentioned in the message below.

Entry post please for the Korean Student as this could kick off a life time passion and show him the collecting community share interests not differences.

'Tis the season of giving, and you've inspired me with these giveaways. If my number gets picked this time around, please convert that to @expat so he can claim his prize. It may not be much, but it's all I can do to help!

My wife is Korean and she told me it would be nice if I gave my entry up for Dongdong2. Regards.

Entry post: I'm a big fan of the Phrygian handshake! It's got a nice patina and (I think I mentioned in a previous entry post) I'm considering a "hand" collection theme.

Interesting idea for a theme! You will of course want to get a medieval German “hand” heller, with the hand of God on it.

I have owned two of these ca. 1400s-1500s civic issue silver Gros coins from the city of Metz in France. They too bear the manus dei (hand of God) motif, above Saint Stephen’s forehead. (Apparently the Almighty has very long, spidery fingers!)

For a somewhat larger hammered silver medieval coin, they are reasonably affordable.

Please enter me for the 1943 Dime. 1943 is my birth year and I don't have any MS coins from that year. All of mine are as found in circulation.

Entry post. I hope that this is not a duplicate of one before. Anyway, I'd like the 1919 Canada large cent. Thanks

You’re good. It was so far your only post in this particular contest, so it’s a valid entry post.

Persistence and popular acclaim pays off.

Tell you what I’m gonna do, @expat;)

If @Homer2 ‘s entry does not win the drawing (he selected the same coin), then that Septimius Severus provincial will be yours. No contest win necessary. Straight-up Holiday/New Year’s gift, from me to you. :)

I reckon we’ll see what happens tomorrow.

If you get it (and the odds now heavily favor you), then you can just “pay it forward” and gift one of your extra coins to somebody else (or we could run a contest of your own if you want).

Roman Provincial (Moesia, Nicopolis): ca. 193-211 AD bronze Æ18 of Septimius Severus

Just agreed to buy this for the giveaway store, from @The Half Dime. If you win the drawing for this month’s contest and wish to change your mind and have this as your prize instead, I can maybe have him ship it directly to you instead of me, after my payment is received and cleared, of course.

    This is my entry post.
Once again I'd like to try for the 100 world coins. They will be additions to the collection for my son. Thank you again for the chance Rob.
    Happy Holidays
