Happy to hear YOU are doing well Kirk. At least it was only a case of "'stuff' happens" and not "'stuff' hit the fan"

 

Wow. Were you in the car when it caught fire? My first time driving down the Vegas strip I passed a Ford explorer that had the engine compartment fully engulfed with 5ft flames in the middle of the Strip. It was crazy.

 

The fire wasn't too bad and I caught it and was able to put it out pretty quickly. A brake line busted and sent brake fluid on the exhaust manifold. BMW wanted over 6k to replace the wire harness and brake line. Since I'm cheap, I ended up cutting out all of the burnt wires and soldering in some splices and replaced the brake line. All good now, just minor burn to the top motor cover is remaining. It certainly could have been much worse.

 

Doesn't have to be fancy, just honestly heartfelt.

Glad to see Kirk is alive and well.....and safe. Shoot Kirk, things could have been much worse. Happy as the devil that you are well and back in this thread and season. Dang we all missed you brother.

That said, a word or two for Mike.......he was willing to step up to carry the torch that may have fallen. It didn't but we mustn't forget him. Hats off to 'Noodles'

 

Everyone has been added to my spreadsheet. In the past i have sent confirmation PMs to the recipients so that they know that they have been added to the list, but I decided to skip that step to make it a bit quicker. I am starting to send out matches now. Stay tuned.

Got mine today; working on putting something tailored to the receiver. Hopefully I'll have it put together by the end of this week.

 

My receiver is a toughie. I got some stuff today that he'll hopefully enjoy!

You don't have to do that at all, but that is very kind of you! My first has a silver eagle from her birth year that her great grandad gave her, so I am sure this one would love having a little start to her collection as well!
