I know I said I was done for the year but I guess one more coin was in the cards. This time is an 1835 Half Cent in an NGC holder (a first for me). Its graded AU-53. My guess is if it wasn't for the rim scruff it could have done AU-55. At any rate, it's still got beautiful color and detail, and I like it for what it is. Never owned a half cent before, and most I've ever seen are beat and worn to hell. So having one with enough details to appreciate the full scope of the design for the type set I'm putting together is a huge plus.
